3-DELTA is a conceptual model, or paradigm, that represents effective working relationships. Whether as two people moving house or two thousand people building a major infrastructure project, the 3-DELTA model describes these relationships as a triple helix of three interacting domains:
the 'thought' domain (head) - how we interact with our ideas, goals, plans ... or anything we think that is relevant to the shared endeavour
the 'task' domain (hand) - how we interact practically and co-ordinate our tasks with others in getting the job done
the 'team' domain (heart) - how we engage and build working relationships with other people involved in the work
Improving performance in one or more domains is beneficial to the others and to the achievement of mutual goals.
Paradigm: A paradigm is a fundamental framework, model, or pattern of thinking. It represents a universally accepted set of assumptions, beliefs, and practices that shape how we perceive and interpret the world around us. (Cambridge Dictionary)
A paradigm does not impose a rigid or mechanical approach, but can be taken more or less creatively and flexibly. (Blackburn, Simon, 2008, rev. 2nd ed. The Oxford Dictionary of Philosophy.)
